Ken Okel

Meeting Planners

Ken Okel, convention speaker, leadership, change, workplace stress

Ken is a low maintenance speaker who enjoys working with meeting planners and finding the right fit for your clients. That way everyone wins.

When you book Ken, you get more than just a talk. He can create virtual pre and post meeting learning tools like articles, videos, and online presentations to help generate excitement about his talk as well as reinforce key points. All of this can be branded to the company or association.

Ken can also help your clients with event marketing as well as brainstorm sponsorship opportunities to help keep their costs low.

Ken enjoys spending time at a meeting before and after his session. There is no mad dash for the door. He is also willing to do a small group talk about improving public speaking skills. Ken is also able to give virtual presentations.

So What Is His Fee?

Ken prefers to start a discussion of the needs of the event and how he would fit in before he likes to talk numbers. He's found this ensures a positive experience for all parties.

Where Does Ken Live?

Ken works out of Boynton Beach, Florida. The city is roughly 60 miles from Miami, 180 miles from Orlando, and 135 miles from Fort Myers.

Ken loves working in the Sunshine State and helps meeting planners keep their travel budgets low. And you never have to worry about him being caught in a snowstorm!

Room Setup and Audio Needs

  • Ken can work with several room layouts. If there's a need for a lot of audience interaction, an aisle makes things a lot easier. We can work together on the layout and make sure that people are not hiding out in the back row.
  • For groups over 40, I prefer a lavaliere/clip-on microphone. Fresh batteries insure an uninterrupted session. I am able to work with a handheld microphone but as it changes the way I'm able to move, I appreciate knowing about it before the day of the presentation.
  • I do not require a podium as I tend of move around a bit. A nearby glass or bottle of water would be most appreciated.
  • I like to get a feel for the room and check the microphone at least 30 minutes before my presentation.
